I’ve always had a very clear idea of how I want Elite to be different. It’s one of the things that I’m most proud of. Many businesses say that they have a vision, but very few manage to truly live it in the way that we do, day-to-day. A lot of that is to do with the great team that we have here. They all share my obsession with providing an unrivalled service and always putting our clients first.

I founded Elite because I wasn’t happy with so much of what I was seeing in the industry. I really want to raise the bar for service levels. That’s about helping my own clients with proactive, high quality advice – but also pushing standards up across the whole industry too. It’s what I believe in, and I put my heart and soul into it every day.

We’re all about making a positive impact for people. And that goes way beyond the service we provide – we also show it through our commitment to our local community. We each have causes that we’re passionate about.

I’m always looking for ways to help local kids, for example through our support for the renovation of Riverside Park in Ilkley. It’s important for me to contribute back to the local community – and it’s the park I went to as a kid, so it’s brilliant to have this opportunity to help the many generations to come.

Elite are doing something that I haven't seen anywhere else in the industry. We have such a focus here on always providing the highest quality service - it's all about the client and that is pretty rare.

I see this as a chance to make an impact on the industry by doing things differently – but most of all to truly deliver for the clients who need our help. Everyone is operating within a tough and volatile economic climate at the moment. The way that I see it, anything we can do to help people to achieve their fullest potential by maximising their profits and minimising the taxes they need to pay has to help. It gives people peace of mind and allows them to focus on growing their business.

This is a special place to work for many reasons, not least because of the way we support our local community. We're proud to sponsor my son's football team, Silsden Knights, where Joel also volunteers as a coach. It's rewarding to know we're helping the next generation develop their skills, build confidence and thrive both on and off the pitch.

I really enjoy being part of the team at Elite Accountancy Services, where one of the things I value most is getting to know our clients and building strong, trusted relationships with them. I’m a qualified member of the AAT and am currently continuing my studies, as I’ve always loved learning new things and developing my knowledge and skills. It’s something I really appreciate about working at Elite too, as personal development and continued learning are genuinely encouraged and supported across the whole team.

When I’m not working or studying, family time is really important to me, and I love spending as much time with them as I can. I’m also a proud dog owner, enjoy practising yoga and love going on holiday whenever I get the chance – the more often, the better! When life isn’t quite so busy, I enjoy taking some time to switch off, relax and recharge.

I also have a fascination with all things paranormal, which perhaps shows there’s a slightly more curious side to me too!

I’m happiest when I’ve got plenty going on, whether that’s at work, with family or planning my next adventure. I like life to be busy, varied and, most importantly, enjoyable!

I immediately bought into what Joel and the team are trying to do with Elite. It feels like something fresh and different in the industry. A business that doesn’t stand still, that’s proactive and that puts people and providing the highest quality service above everything else.

We’ve set a clear vision and we’re focused on delivering that for all of our clients. I want to do everything I can now to make sure that we achieve our goals and that we keep growing sustainably. The business is on an exciting journey and I’m so excited to be a part of that.

We’re a group of people who believe in what they do and who want to help people. You see it in the way that everyone gives back to the community we’re a part of. Elite even sponsor the cricket team that I played for – Steeton Cricket Club – that has been and continues to be a big part of my life.

I joined Elite in 2025, having worked in accountancy since 2020. I’ve always enjoyed the problem-solving side of the job, but for me, it’s the people side that makes it really rewarding. I love getting to know our clients, building genuine relationships and finding ways to make their lives that little bit easier.

That’s one of the things I really value about being part of Elite – it’s never just about the numbers. We take the time to understand the people and businesses behind them, so we can offer support that feels personal and genuinely useful.

Outside of work, I’m a big believer in making the most of life and always having something to look forward to. I love travelling, discovering new places and, more often than not, planning my next holiday before the current one has even arrived! When I’m not thinking about my next getaway, I enjoy reading, watching TV and spending quality time with family and friends.

I’m naturally ambitious and always keen to learn something new, so I really enjoy being somewhere that encourages me to keep developing. At Elite, there are always opportunities to broaden my experience, challenge myself and continue growing both personally and professionally.

For me, the best part of being at Elite is working alongside a team that genuinely cares – about doing a great job, about each other and, most importantly, about our clients. I’m excited to keep learning, growing and seeing where the next few years take me!

I joined Elite in June 2024, bringing with me five years of experience in accountancy. What I really enjoy about being part of Elite is the way we work with our clients. It’s not just about ticking boxes or getting the year-end accounts done – we genuinely take the time to get to know our clients, understand their businesses and build relationships that allow us to give them the support they really need.

As Payroll Manager, I look after payroll for a wide variety of clients, making sure everything runs smoothly, accurately and on time. I also support clients with their accounts and enjoy helping them make sense of their numbers, giving them a clearer picture of where their business stands.

One of my favourite things about my role is the variety – no two businesses are the same, which means no two days are either! Whether I’m answering a payroll question, helping someone work through a challenge or supporting a client as their business grows, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the support I provide can make their day that little bit easier.

I’d describe myself as approachable, organised and someone who takes real pride in getting the details right. I’m always happy to go that extra mile and love being someone our clients know they can turn to when they need help.

For me, that’s what being part of Elite is all about – working alongside a great team, getting to know our clients and their businesses, and providing the friendly, reliable support that helps them feel confident and looked after.

From my first conversations with Joel and Callum, I was impressed by Elite’s proactive and personal approach. It felt refreshingly different from what I had previously experienced in the accountancy industry and aligned closely with my own values, so I was immediately excited about the opportunity to join the team.

Since joining Elite, my focus has been on providing our clients with the highest level of service while continually looking for ways to add value. Building strong relationships and making a positive difference to our clients is something I genuinely care about and find incredibly rewarding.

Outside of work, I spend much of my time playing and following sport, particularly football. I play for Cowling FC, a local club that Elite is proud to sponsor as part of its continued commitment to supporting the local community.

I joined the Elite team in October 2022, having already spent many years working in accountancy. Over that time, I’ve built up a broad range of experience across all areas of the profession, but these days I particularly specialise in management accounts.

I work closely with my own portfolio of clients, helping them understand their numbers and, more importantly, what those numbers actually mean for their business. For me, it’s about much more than figures on a page. I really enjoy getting to know my clients, understanding how their businesses work and seeing the bigger picture, so I can offer advice and support that’s genuinely useful to them.

That personal approach is one of the things I really value about being part of Elite. We’re not here simply to produce accounts and tick boxes – we want our clients to feel that they can pick up the phone, ask us a question and know that we’re here to help. I love being part of a team that genuinely cares about its clients and takes pride in helping them feel more confident about their finances and the decisions they make.

Outside of work, life is rarely quiet! I’m kept busy with my two boys and also play rounders for the Dingham Dashers. When I’m not doing that, you’ll often find me at a steam rally with our vintage tractors – perhaps not everyone’s idea of a typical weekend, but it’s something we really enjoy!

Between work, family, rounders and tractors, there’s certainly never a dull moment – and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
